Deepika Padukone to throw a house warming bash in her new apartment

 

This was the first party hosted by the dimpled beauty Deepika Padukone and for reasons most appropriate one. The gorgeous girl has brought herself a palatial apartment. Her three bedroom Prabhadevi apartment is perhaps the most expensive one among all the apartments recently bought by any other actress. She has planned a grand house warming party on 30th September.
Nevertheless, Deepika conveyed her warm feelings towards her old neighbours by sending each one a personal note with a box of sweets. Well! A sweet gesture from a sweet lady!!

Aarakshan - Movie Review

Just back from Aarakshan, cant believe there was controversy on this film..second half looks like a totally different film, the director is so confused.

I wish people would see Aarakshan and instead object to Jha's vision, the execution of his muddled script, which half way through forgets its purpose, and varying degrees of unimpressive performances. Yes, Jha tries to highlight the complicated caste-based reservation system, attempting to look at the situation from all angles. But that is only until the first half of the film.



After intermission, Aarakshan is a completely different film -- essentially an argument against the expensive private tutoring schools, reflected by the very obvious good (represented by Amitabh Bachchan's [ Images ] character Prabhakar Anand) and the equally obvious evil (represented by Manoj Bajpayee's [ Images ] Mithilesh Singh).



Jha -- who takes up social issues and gives a controversial flare to his films, is at his most confused self in presenting Aarakshan to us. Perhaps the issue of caste-based reservation is too complicated and yet has the potential of flaring up (as it has happened before the release of the film) and so he simplifies it in a paint-by-number style until he runs out of ideas.

I'm really looking forward to it. ” There is a special bonding burgeoning between Deeepika and Sharmila Tagore who plays her mother in new-director Danish Aslam's film Break Ke Baad. The screen mother-daughter spend hours together. Deepika can't keep the admiration out of her voice while speaking of the senior actress. “We had our dimples in common, and that broke the ice. She's one of the most eleganty ladies I've come across. ”

20th August 2010 is all set to see one of the most anticipated releases of this year from Yash Raj films hit the screens. The film uniquely titled ‘Lafangey Parindey’ has been directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film has Neil Nitin Mukesh as Nandu and Deepika Padukone as Pinky in the lead pair. Their roles are extremely challenging and this love story with a difference is set in the gritty streets of Mumbai.

Incidentally, director Sarkar seems so pleased with the portrayals of Deepika and Neil in the film that he has already gifted them an iPad each as a token of appreciation.
