Work hard for a fit body – John Abraham

 

A lot of hard work is needed to keep the body fit, says Bollywood actor John Abraham said Monday.
“Making a strong body is like a religion. When you preach a religion you go to a temple. I go to a gym and workout. I really worked out hard to make a strong body. I had put on 10 kilo muscles in eight months,” Abraham told a media conference on his upcoming film “Force”.
John has sported a muscular look in ‘Force’ where he plays a role of a no-nonsense cop who does not play by the book but always ensures that justice is served.
Vivacious Genelia D’ Souza will be seen opposite John in this film, directed by Nishikant Kamat.
“I thank Nishikant for giving me eight months to make such a strong body. He wanted me to look really tough. I want to tell youngsters that there is no shortcut for a muscular body. I was on a high protein diet,” he said.
“But at the end of the day it is the performance that counts, not the body. It is an audio visual medium, so you have to sport certain kind of look.”
Asked about the current trend of action films, John said that ‘Force’ was the only movie after Sunny Deol starrer ‘Ghayal’ and ‘Gadar’ that can boast of raw and real action.
“It’s good that people are loving action movies but if you ask me about ‘Force’ then it is raw and real action. I just feel that after ‘Ghayal’ and ‘Gadar’ this is the only movie where you can boast of real action.”

John Abraham is not only one of the hottest actors in Bollywood but according to a huge poster put up in Juhu he is also a liar. Well, before you get any ideas let us tell you that this poster has been put up by the makers of Jhootha Hi Sahi and is one of the biggest posters ever put up. In fact, it is a tall as a four story building.
The first look of Jhootha Hi Sahi was such that no one could recognize John. His look in the film is very different. So to show that it was really him in the picture and not another photoshopped miracle, John actually donned his look from the film. By wearing a shirt with glasses.

Says John Abraham, “The unveiling of the film was a thrilling experience, different from the usual unveilings I’ve done in the past.” Commenting on his look in the film, “My look in the film is very different and not something anyone has seen me in before. Jhootha Hi Sahi is an amazing film and I’m very excited about it. Abbas Tyrewala has done an awesome job.”

John asked to skip gym for staying healthy!

John Abraham is going through a very low phase. And no, it has nothing to do with his relationship with Bipasha Basu.



Trouble started when doctors asked fitness freak John to stay away from the gym. Needless to say, the advice was nothing short of a punishment for the actor.

According to the doctors, excessive exercise has taken a toll on John's body and he is suffering from acute muscle fatigue. The only way to recovery, they say, is to take a break from the gym.

For the past one-and-a-half months, John has been exercising for three to four hours every day.

He needs to have an extremely well-built body for his role in Vipul Shah's remake of the Tamil film Khakha Khakha, to be directed by Nishikant Kamat. On the other hand, Dostana 2 requires him to have a ribbed and totally lean look.

In preparation for his roles, John was following two exercise regimens under two trainers and it obviously took a toll on the actor. A source says, "Much to John's surprise, the doctors asked him to stop it for a while. They said his body can't take it anymore."

The health-conscious John is against using artificial supplements and wants to build his body the hard way. Anyway, he has been following the doctors' advice for now.

We wonder what Bipasha feels about the situation. Considering the fact that she, too, is a fitness freak, we are sure she can understand his predicament
